Suggestions for Promotion of Culture
in the City of San Fernando

Aims & Objectives:

1) To encourage, form, establish a committee, entertainment group or Associates Company to produce, direct, co-ordinate, promote as many aspects of the performing arts talents in to a business for all interested persons under the direction of professionals or experienced personnel in Trinidad and Tobago and in particular in San Fernando.

2) To make the public aware of the importance of culture, sport, education, integration and entertainment for the social development of interested persons.

3) To promote "Dress Code in Effect", elegantly casual or semi-formal in all aspects of cultural, social and entertainment performances.

4) To do all that is conclusive to the attainment of the above aims by creating employment and investment, owning property, by cultural camps and performances, exhibitions, education and fund raising events year round to promote all persons, groups and organizations.

5) To set up a public relations, marketing, advertising team and company to assist in promoting all business interests in Trinidad and Tobago and special attention given to culture and entertainment in the City of San Fernando.

6) To find ways and suggestions to encourage the general public to support the business sector in San Fernando and in turn encourage the business community to be given an advertising opportunity to show support for the performing arts and culture in our community.

7) To create and find ways to encourage the public to support culture in our community by establishing amateur and professional cultural presentations to encourage artistes, artists and the general public.

8) To establish an executive board with a representative of every performing arts

organisation to promote Public Relations, Culture, Website Development and Entertainment in the Southland and in every community of Trinidad and Tobago.

9) To promote the fashion industry and encourage sales to the general public by establishing more fashion show presentations, pageants, modelling agencies or performing companies to work with and for advertising agencies.

(10) The group or Company (Associates), should encourage and have persons in the following areas of experience: Finance, Sound Systems, Public relations, Design and Art, Music and performing talents.

Finance - Persons should be involved in fundraising activities, subscriptions, bank accounts, sponsorship, special events and legal matters.

Public relations - Persons should be, involved in marketing, advertising, promoting and communicating regularly with members of the business sector, electronic media, radio and television and journalists. Persons should also be involved getting human resources personnel at all times.

Design & Art - Persons involved in fashion designing, boutique owners to encourage sales

to the general public. These persons could assist in stimulating the fashion industry by organizing and co-ordinating fashion shows, displays, exhibitions, building stages, sets, interior or exterior decorating, designing tickets, flyers, posters, websites and having stage management technical experience would be an asset.

Music & Performing Talent - Persons interested in singing, dancing, modelling, announcing, hair-styling, make-up, drama, story-telling, poetry, playwriting, music instrumentalists, band members and sound systems personnel in order to promote variety cultural presentations to the general public and to expose and advertise skills of artists, artistes and performers.
